Features:

  • The BLUE EAGLE ® aluminized protective gloves AL145, AL165 and AL205 provide user five fields of fire/heat protections, including burning, contact heat, convective heat, radiant heat and small molten metal splashes.

  • Three sizes are avaiable.
    AL145 (14" or 36 cm), AL165 (16" or 40 cm), AL205 (20" or 50 cm)

** EN 407 - Protective gloves against thermal risks **

1.
Burning behaviour (Performance level 4)

The burner is placed below the glove so that it is in a plane with the vertical middle line of the glove or the middle finger and is perpendicular to the surface of the glove. The burner is mounted at an angle of 30 degrees to the vertical. The distance between the tip of the burner and the lower edge of the glove or the middle finger shall be 20 mm.

 

Glove shall be tested for each ignition time, i.e. 3 s and 15 s. The after flame time and after glow time shall be recorded for each ignition time.

2. Contact heat (Performance level 2)
Apply a force on the glove to contact a heated surface with certain temperature (100°C, 250°C, 350°C, or 500°C). Measure and record how long will the temperature on the other side of the glove raise 10°C, i.e. measure and record how long will user’s hand raise 10°C). At each level, the threshold time must be more than 15 s.

SKF bearing units typically consist of a bearing, seal, lubricant and shaft locking mechanism. The units are preassembled and adjusted at the factory. These ready to mount units are available with either ball or roller bearings.
In addition to standard all steel units, SKF has more focused standard products – which target a particular industry – like the food, beverage and pharmaceutical industries where, for example, special materials, lubricants, seals and housings are needed.

To accommodate the high performance characteristics of SKF bearings, SKF designs and manufactures a full line of bearing housings and housing seals. Ball and roller screws

Thanks to decades of experience with manufacturing ball and roller screws and their continuous product and process development activities, SKF provides customers with precision screw solutions that fulfil the most demanding applications in terms of efficiency, precision, durability and value. SKF provides solutions for applications that require driving technology. Ball screws and roller screws convert rotary motion into linear motion, and vice-versa.

A traditional screw essentially consists of a steel shaft with trapezoidal thread and a bronze, metal or plastic nut. With this design, approximately 70% of the power is dissipated through the heat generated by friction at the sliding contact surfaces.
Unlike traditional screws, high efficiency screws from SKF are fitted with rolling elements (balls or rollers) that transmit the power between the nut and the screw shaft. The rolling motion minimizes friction between the nut and the shaft, therefore:
  • the torque and power of the motor required to drive an application are much lower; depending on the design and technology, ball and roller screw efficiency is greater than 80%
  • the wear rate is minimized
  • the life of our products is much longer than the life of traditional sliding screws, and can be determined using rolling fatigue calculation
Due to the high efficiency of this technology, ball and roller screws are back-driving. Thus, some applications require a brake to prevent the carriage from falling down under its own weight.
